School Fee Collection and Online Payments for South African Schools
MyEncore handles the full school fee lifecycle — invoicing, parent statements, online payments via Netcash, fee arrangement plans with optional debit-order automation, and age analysis for the bursar. Schools keep 100% of fees collected; we don't take a cut of any payment.

- Detailed statement with line-item breakdown

Payment options
| Method | Who pays the processing fee | School's MyEncore cost |
| Manual / direct-EFT into the school bank account | School's bank fee only | R0 — no MyEncore automation fee |
| In-app Netcash payments (parent taps "Pay now") | School's negotiated Netcash rate | Optional flat R500/month for under 1000 learners, R2,000/month for 1000+ learners — only if you opt in |
Schools that don't opt into the Netcash automation pay R0 automation fee. Many schools start with manual/EFT and only flip on Netcash automation once their parents push for one-tap payments.
How MyEncore's fee model is different
- No per-transaction markup. We don't take 1% of every payment. Some competitors do. With MyEncore, 100% of what parents pay reaches the school.
- You use your own Netcash merchant account. Money flows directly into your school's Netcash and then to your school bank. MyEncore never holds or routes the money.
- One flat optional monthly fee if you choose to enable in-app Netcash payments. Predictable budget line, capped at R2,000/month for large schools.
Fee arrangement plans (parent-initiated, bursar-approved)
One of the biggest pain points in SA schools is fee disputes. A parent can't pay R8,000 in one shot but can manage R1,000 per month. With MyEncore the parent requests an arrangement directly from the app. The bursar sees it, approves it, and the system tracks the schedule + automatically chases the parent at each milestone. No more 6-month-old verbal agreements that no one remembers.
POPIA + reconciliation
- All parent financial data encrypted at rest
- Role-based access — only bursar + principal see balances
- Full audit trail of who saw what fee data and when
- Auditor export includes per-transaction provenance
Pricing for the whole platform
| School size | Annual platform cost |
| Under 1000 learners | R50 per learner per year |
| 1000+ learners | R27 in Year 1, escalating to R50 by Year 5 (see taper) |
Fee management and online payments are included free in the platform price. The only optional add-on is in-app Netcash automation (flat monthly above).
