Looking for your school report? MyEncore does not have it
MyEncore is software that some schools use. We do not hold, issue, send or reprint any learner's report, results, certificate or transfer documents, and we cannot get them for you. Phoning or messaging MyEncore will not help — only your school (or, for matric, the education department) can.
How to get your school report
- Contact your school's office. Reports are kept by the school. Phone or visit the school office (the secretary or administration office) or ask for the principal. Past learners are usually asked to request a copy in writing, and the school may want proof of identity, the years you attended and your grade or class.
- If the school has closed, merged or does not answer, contact the education district office. Ask the district office of the provincial education department that covers the school's area. They may be able to tell you who now holds the school's records. The Department of Basic Education lists the education districts on its website.
Grade 12: matric results and certificates
Matric (National Senior Certificate) results, certificates and statements of results are handled by the Department of Basic Education (DBE) and your provincial education department, not by the school software your school may use. The DBE explains how to apply on its Certification Services page, including the documents you need and the current fee.
For a lost or damaged certificate the DBE says you can apply at a DBE or provincial education department office, or online at eservices.gov.za, and that you can ask for a statement of results while you wait. Umalusi is the council that quality-assures and certifies the qualification.
Your school's report for this term has not arrived
Ask the school office. A report is issued by the school, so only the school knows why it has not been sent or released yet. Ask them to email or hand you a copy.
If your school uses MyEncore
Some schools publish reports in the MyEncore parent app. Parents sign in to the app, and the school decides when each report is released. If you cannot see the report yet, ask the school whether it has been released. MyEncore cannot release it for you. The app is available from the MyEncore download page.
